Hi — I'm Javier 👋
a Software Engineer based in Santiago, Chile 🇨🇱

I'm passionate about building products that people use, discussing problems, solving them, and discovering new ways to do things.

I'm currently working at Uber, where I'm (currently) part of the Restricted Items team, which is responsible for ensuring that the items that are transported through the platform comply with the law and the company's policies. I am also focused on improving user experience and enhancing the efficiency of our internal systems.

What I'm up to

I have more than 8 years of software engineering experience. During this time, I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in different industries, such as e-commerce, finance, and transportation. I've worked with TypeScript and React almost all my career, so I'm always looking for new ways to improve my skills and learn new technologies. I'm currently learning about Go and WebGL to build high-performance web applications. I'm also interested in Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing.
